Sennen Cove in high winds

After the high winds this weekend, I was really hoping to capture some truly massive seas along the West Coast, especially at Botallack and Sennen Cove. Unfortunately, this wasn’t quite the case.

Perranporth Spring Tide September 2025

Perranporth is one of Cornwall’s biggest and most popular beaches, well-loved by locals and visitors alike. At low tide, it reveals three miles of golden sand, beautifully split in two by the shallow Perrncoombe Stream that gently winds its way across the shore. During the summer months, the beach is packed with holidaymakers, who spread out across the sand, creating a vibrant sea of colourful umbrellas, towels, and windbreaks. Boat Cove and Portheras Cove

Holywell Bay visit -16th May

Holywell Bay has been a long time favourite beach of mine. Sitting on the North Coast of Cornwall, about 3 miles East of Newquay it’s instantly recognisable from it’s twin rocks in the bay known as Carter’s Rocks, or more commonly Gull Rocks.

Highland Cows…in Cornwall?

Some weeks back, I drove past Colliford Lake on the A30 heading towards Penzance and saw a herd of Highland cows. Up until this point, I had no idea how common they were in Cornwall! At the time, I couldn’t stop but made a promise to myself to return and try to photograph them.
